Company profile

Formatec is an innovative producer of complex shaped precision parts for high end applications in demanding markets like automotive, aerospace, medical, luxury and sensorics. The need for excellent product properties, dimensional accuracy and repeatability and finishing quality is inherent to these industries, which are our specialties. Formatec creates parts starting with metallic or ceramic powder, shaping them by Additive Manufacturing or Powder Injection Molding (CIM and MIM). This combination of production technologies enables in-house production services from a single piece up to large scale series. With the ceramics it is possible to produce highly wear, temperature, and electrical resistant products that are chemically inert too. This combined with the materials’ extreme hardness, ceramics provide a durability that outlasts that of metals over time. An additional benefit is the possibility of grinding and polishing ceramics, resulting in an ultra-smooth, high gloss finish, adding value to the look of exclusivity.

The metal parts that we produce are mostly for high-demanding applications. As a result of the high reproducibility of complex geometries the moulding of metals represents a cost effective manufacturing method.
