Company profile

STEREON Materials (formerly QSIL) is an innovative, international supplier of high-performance materials, specializing in advanced technical ceramics, refractory metals, and technical glass (ROBU) for demanding applications. The company develops and manufactures material solutions that combine precision, reliability, and performance for use in diagnostics & analytics, semiconductors, aerospace, industrial solutions, and automotive markets, as well as selected chemical and analytical applications. STEREON Materials serves a globally diversified customer base, including leading companies in Europe, Asia, and North America.

The group generates annual sales of around 100 million euros and employs approximately 600 people across six production and development sites in Germany and the United Kingdom. Following the divestment of the quartz business at the beginning of 2025 and the rebranding from QSIL to STEREON Materials at the beginning of 2026, the group is fully focused on its core competencies in technical ceramics, refractory metals, and technical glass, strengthening its position as a high-performance materials partner and driving innovation in demanding industries worldwide. The group is headquartered in Erfurt, Germany.
