CERAMIC APPLICATIONS Pavilion: A Central Hub for Technical Ceramics at ceramitec 2026

ceramitec 2026, held in Munich from 24 to 26 March, once again demonstrated its position as the world’s premier trade fair for the ceramics industry. With 485 exhibitors from 38 countries — representing an international share of 66 % — and around 12 000 visitors from 74 nations, the event demonstrated the global reach and innovative strength of the industry across 33 000 m² of exhibition space. Technical ceramics in particular stood out as a key enabling technology for applications in energy, medical technology, mobility and numerous other industrial sectors. The accompanying conference and supporting programme covered topics such as decarbonisation, additive manufacturing, and digitalisation, facilitating in-depth discussions between industry, research, and user sectors.

A major highlight of the exhibition was the CERAMIC APPLICATIONS Pavilion in Hall A6. Spanning approximately 1000 m², this shared stand brought together 35 member companies from a global network comprising over 90 technical ceramics manufacturers, along with suppliers and R&D service providers. Many other network members were also present elsewhere on the exhibition grounds, often close to the pavilion, creating a central hub for the technical ceramics community.

The pavilion clearly demonstrated the versatility and performance of ceramic materials, which act as “hidden champions” in a wide range of everyday, industrial and medical applications. This was complemented by the special exhibition, “Ceramic Components: Hidden Champions in Industry and Everyday Life”, which was located at the east entrance of the exhibition centre and presented selected application examples. At the pavilion itself, numerous exhibitors showcased real-world applications of their ceramic products and engaged in direct discussions with visitors about bespoke solutions.

Located in the immediate vicinity of the joint stand in Hall A6, the forum offered a comprehensive programme of presentations, guided tours and thematic introductions on topics such as technical ceramics, medical applications and additive manufacturing. The close integration of the exhibition and knowledge transfer activities established the CERAMIC APPLICATIONS Pavilion as a pivotal meeting point for trade visitors seeking innovative material solutions and new business opportunities.
