Ceramaret Acquires MicroCeram
Ceramaret, a leading developer and manufacturer of high-precision components made of technical ceramics for applications in analytical and fluid-handling systems, was looking to expand its presence in Germany. With MicroCeram, Ceramaret has found an ideal, high-quality local partner with a presence in attractive markets and in complementary technologies.
MicroCeram has over 40 employees and has specialized in the manufacture of complex components made of alumina and zirconia. The expertise of this growing company also includes the development of customized materials. Mathias Wilde, founder and owner of MicroCeram, was on the lookout for a succession arrangement for his company. Against the background of the formidable challenges in a very dynamic market, he took the decision to entrust MicroCeram with a partner who can realize its potential and knows how to use the acquired experience. The pooling of resources of Ceramaret and MicroCeram will bring customers a wider range of products and services as well as increased production capacity. Mathias Wilde will continue as Managing Director at MicroCeram and also joins the Ceramaret management. In a first step, the product ranges of the two companies will be merged but will be left largely unchanged. At a later point in time, adjustments may be made to processes at the different sites to ensure their optimum growth.
