Ingo Cremer New Chairman of the IAPK Support Association

Ingo Cremer – CEO of the CREMER Group/DE for industrial kilns and furnaces – was EPMA President from 2007 to 2013 and succeeds Dr-Ing. Axel Höfter (Köppern Entwicklungs-GmbH/DE) in this office as he has taken on a new professional challenge in plastics.
The Board is made up of: Dr Walter Best, Dr Steven Moseley (HILTI AG/DE), Univ. Prof. Dr-Ing. Schmachtenberg (RWTH University of Aachen/DE), Prof. Dr-Ing. Rolf Theenhaus (Ludwig Krohne GmbH & Co. KG/DE), Dr-Ing. Michael Zins (Fraunhofer IKTS/DE), and Prof. Dr-Ing. Christoph Broeckmann (IWM/RWTH Aachen/DE).
The IAPK (Institute of Ceramics Process and Application Engineering) forms an alliance together with the Institute for Materials Applications in Mechanical Engineering (IWM) at RWTH University of Aachen. It is directed by Prof. Dr-Ing. Christoph Broeckmann, who also directs the IWM. The Deputy Manager is Dr-Ing. Anke Kaletsch. Like the predecessor of Prof. Broeckmann – Prof. Beiss – both have contributed extensive input to the EPMA’s Global PM Property Database.
The IAPK works non-commercially and is sponsored by its support association. Its objective is the promotion of research and teaching in Powder Metallurgy, ceramics and ceramic joining systems.
At ceramitec 2018, the IAPK exhibited at the shared stand of CERAMIC APPLICATIONS and presented its technical focuses in papers held on Technical Ceramics Day and at the accompanying Annual Meeting of the German Ceramic Society (DKG).
