CERAMICS EXPO 2016
Over 170 exhibitors participated in the first show, 40 % more than originally anticipated, with over 20 % of the exhibitors coming from outside the USA. 2117 professionals (2020 from the US) mainly from the technical ceramics industry attended the free three-day event, which included an expansive exhibit hall, presentations, product launches, keynote speakers, panel discussions and workshops, and more. Among the manufacturing giants in attendance were Boeing, Apple, Ford and Honda. Also in attendance were profession als from NASA’s Glenn Research Center; several schools of ceramics affiliated with major universities in the USA, including Case Western Reserve University in Rleveland; industry scientists, researchers and more. A two-track conference programme featuring over 50 expert speakers from NASA, Morgan, Federal-Mogul Powertrain, Boeing, Corning, GE Aviation and more discussed critical issues impacting advanced ceramics, composites and glass manufacturing and applications. The next fair will be held in Cleveland from 26–28 April 2016.
